Corona: The Tale Of The Testing-Time

The world today has seen something that it had not seen in 100 years. A pandemic is no ordinary phenomenon. It ignites and trigger a series of other events as well associated with the same. For instance, Corona will ignite economic depression because of the lockdown and imposed halt on  economic activities. This is almost an unavoidable element here. It is inevitable. There is another lash back of the same phenomenon and that is deteriorating mental health. Many factors contribute to this degradation. Some are related to the economic recession and shrinkage of economy which has seen the deteriorating conditions of job scenes across the globe. People are losing jobs left and right, and not just in one country; the impact is global. Also, normalcy has been redefined. It means that social dynamics are not the same anymore. You just cannot go on about meeting people as an when you want or how you want. As you can clearly gauge, the changes are massive and multi-faceted. Also, it is nearly inexplicable, and inevitable. 

Now, under the stress of changing circumstances, one is liable to find the test of time too stress to deal with. People are seen suffering from depression, and anxiety. The cases have evidently risen since the onset of this massive pandemic and global social and economic lockdown. Consequently (and quite sadly) the cases of suicides have tremendously risen. It is almost as if the pandemic has given way to a massive and global sense of existential crisis. We feel small and helpless. Yes, the times are testing. Amidst this hullaballoo, we need to understand that like all testing-times, this shall pass too, and normalcy shall be restored.
